Seasonal Courses
- The University holds seasonal courses during the summer/winter breaks for students who have not completed their required courses or who wish to take other courses.
- Seasonal courses run for less than four weeks, and one credit is equal to at least 15 hours of class time.
- Students can register for up to six seasonal credits.
- Even while on a leave of absence, students can register for and complete seasonal courses.
- Courses with less than 20 registered students can be cancelled.
- Only in unavoidable circumstances, students who are less than halfway through the course can withdraw from a course with the approval of the professor in charge of the course.
- Tuition is based on the number of credits. It is fully refundable up to one day before the start of the course. Once the course starts, reimbursements are made according to the University’s Tuition and Fee Reimbursement Policy.
- Absences exceeding one-eighth of the total class time will lead to an FA grade (e.g., more than two absences (six hours) from a three-hour consecutive course [three credits] will lead to an FA).
- Credits earned in seasonal courses are not counted toward credits registered for the preceding semester. Separately listed in the seasonal semester section of the academic records, they are counted as credits earned in the following semester and are included in students' total credits earned and CGPA. However, when active students who have registered for at least eight semesters since the first semester of 2011 earn credits in the seasonal semester just before graduation, such credits can be counted toward the preceding semester for graduation assessments (excluding early graduation applicants).
